High image quality and dose reduction provided by deep-learning image reconstruction in coronary CT angiography

A recent study evaluated the image quality of coronary CT angiography (CCTA) scans reconstructed with a deep-learning image reconstruction (DLIR) algorithm compared to a hybrid iterative reconstruction algorithm (adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction-veo [ASiR-V]). DLIR in CCTA performed significantly better than ASiR-V in terms of signal-to-noise ratio, contrast-to-noise ratio and image quality.
