Dual-layer spectral detector CT as an effective method for predicting spread through air spaces in lung adenocarcinoma

    STAS (spread through air spaces) is a newly described pattern of invasion in lung adenocarcinoma, that is associated with a poor prognosis and has not been effectively characterized by conventional CT imaging. However, a recent study from European Radiology demonstrated for the first time that a model integrating conventional and dual-layer spectral detector CT features may provide a reliable and more objective method for predicting STAS in lung adenocarcinoma.
