In a recent article, the diagnostic performance of the innovative machine-learning CT-based
fractional flow reserve (CT-FFR ML ) was compared for the first time to stress perfusion
cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) for identifying patients with hemodynamically relevant
coronary artery stenoses and detecting myocardial ischemia. The potential additional value of CT-
FFR ML over standard coronary CT angiography (cCTA) was also assessed. CT-FFR ML showed
greater diagnostic power in comparison to stress perfusion CMR and higher diagnostic accuracy
than cCTA alone.
