Coronary CT angiography for the assessment of cardiovascular risk in asymptomatic type 2 diabetic patients

    A study from an Italian group assessed the usefulness of coronary CT angiography (CCTA) in predicting cardiovascular (CV) risk in asymptomatic patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The evaluation of coronary disease with CCTA proved to be an appropriate method for stratifying CV risk in these patients.
