Contrast-enhanced cardiovascular CT for identifying factors predicting the need for permanent pacemaker implantation after TAVI

A recent study demonstrated the essential contribution of contrast-enhanced cardiovascular CT in determining predictors of permanent pacemaker implantation (PPMI) after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). Right bundle branch block pattern and membranous septum length were reported as strong and independent variables significantly associated with PPMI in patients who had undergone TAVI.
