Clinical characteristics and laboratory parameters of COVID-19 patients with pulmonary embolism identified by pulmonary CT angiography

    A recent study from Radiology assessed the clinical characteristics and laboratory parameters of patients with COVID-19 who developed pulmonary embolism (PE), as detected with pulmonary CT angiography. Patients with higher BMI and higher D-dimer levels were more likely to develop PE, whereas statin therapy was associated with a lower rate of PE.
