An ex-vivo study demonstrated that the application of Artificial Intelligence to radiomics improves the identification of advanced atherosclerotic lesions at coronary CT angiography

    A new prospective ex-vivo study from Radiology aimed to assess the diagnostic accuracy of radiomics analysis with the application of machine learning algorithms in identifying advanced atherosclerotic lesions at coronary CT angiography. The results showed that this approach was superior to standard visual assessment and to histogram-based methods.
